Description: An obligate wetland species, pickerel weed is host to many bees and butterflies. This plant won’t tolerate any drought, and must be planted in standing water. The seeds and stalks are edible. A special bee, Dufourea novaeangliae, obtains pollen and nectar from only this plant.
